Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Peaktrend Limited ("PeakTrend", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use PeakTrend Boards, our internal whiteboard and wireframing tool. We act as the data controller for this information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password (or Google sign-in identifier).
  • Board content — the notes, drawings, mockups and text you add to boards.
  • Access records — which boards you own or have been invited to, and who invited you.
  • Activity — who last edited each item, and your live cursor position while a board is open (not stored).

How we use it

  • To provide the service, sign you in and control who can see each board (contract / legitimate interest).
  • To send invitation and password emails (legitimate interest).
  • To keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We only use essential cookies and browser storage needed to run PeakTrend Boards. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

  • Our hosting and database provider, which stores accounts and board content.
  • Our email provider, for invitation and password emails.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Other people invited to the same board, who can see its content and your name.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Accounts and board content are kept while your access is active. When you are removed from all boards or ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email tom@peaktrend.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
